Size: 2 1/2 - 4 inches maxium of 6 inches
Distinctive Features: Usually have small black spots over the head and body.
 
Description: Vary greatly from yellow to reddish orange, brown, or even black or white. May be two toned.
 
 
Abundance & Distribution: Uncommon Bahamas and Caribbean, rare in Florida, also Bermuda. May be abundant in localized areas, such as under docks.
 
 
Habitat & Behavior: Curl base of tail around branches of Gorgonians, sea grass or other holdfasts. Occasionally float free over grass or reefs and in sargassum.
